CHAPTER-1 INTRODUCATION TO DBMS System A system is an integration of entities, alternatively designed as components, which have integration among them. For E.g., consider a particular department in a college (or) university. The entities of the department are students, non-teaching staff, infrastructure etc. These entities interact with another. The information system can be either a conventional file processing system (or) database management system.
